How Fish See in the Dark

Image result for lateral line system            Have you ever wonder how fish can see in the dark? Possibly they have some sort of super vision that helps them see when its pitch black out. Well, actually, fish and some other amphibians possess a unique sensory capability that allows them to 'feel' objects around them without physical contact and see in the dark. This super power is called the Lateral Line System, also known as the Lateralis System. This is a system of tactical sense organs located in the head and along both sides of the fish's body. It is used to detect movement and vibrations in the water. Therefore allowing them to 'see' in the dark, murky water.
