Volcanoes.
Volcanoes have been around since the very beginning of creation. You can find volcanoes pretty much anywhere in the world. Known as one of the most disastrous and dangerous natural things to happen, Volcanoes can erupt at any point in time. But how can a volcano erupt? Well, deep into the earth's surface, there are four layers known as the inner core, the outer core, the mantle, and the crust.
Deep into the Earth's surface, it is so hot there that rocks start to slowly melt and become a thick and flowing substance called magma. Because the magma is lighter than normal rock around it, the magma rises up and collects in magma chambers. Eventually, some of the magma pushes through the vents and breaks into the earth's crust. The magma that is erupted from the volcano is now called lava.
Depending on if the magma is runny or thick, depends on the explosion of the lava. If the lava is runny, some of the gases can escape and the lava will leak out of the volcano. If the magma is thick and sticky, the gases can't escape and pressure builds up, creating a huge and power blast out of the volcano.
