As the Seattle Seahawks were in a championship game against their rivals, the San Francisco 49ers, The Seahawks were fighting for a win to go to their 2nd Super Bowl appearance. In the fourth quarter with a few minutes left, the score of the game was 23-17 with the Seahawks leading. As 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick would throw deep the the end zone for wide receiver Michael Crabtree for the win, but with Seahawk corner back, Richard Sherman covering Crabtree, Sherman would tip the ball up which would be intercepted by Seahawks linebacker Malcom Smith. The Seahawks would win 23-17 and would then go to the super bowl that they would win 43-8 against the Denver Broncos.
