The Seattle Seahawks Season (so far)
The Seattle Seahawks 2017-2018 season has been a huge roller coaster and in many different ways. Since the very first game of the season, I could tell that the season for the Seahawks would be exhilarating and frustrating. The Seahawks season has had many highs and lows, from injuries, mistakes, and lack of effort, the Seahawks season has been very emotional and inconsistent, but at the same time also being very exciting and breathtaking, and it all started with the very first game of the 2017-2018 season.
The first game of the regular season for the Seahawks was on September 10th, against the Green Bay Packers @ Green Bay. Though a very dull and frustrating game to watch, the Seahawks lost 9-17, unable to find the end zone. Starting out 0-1 wasn't the best way to start out a season. Throughout the next 4 weeks, the Seahawks won 3 out of their 4 games, giving them the season score of 3-2. With a bye week at week six, the Seahawks had time to figure stuff out. They did just that, winning their first two games from the bye week. Then in week nine, the Seahawks barely lost to the Washington Redskins 14-17. Week 10 for the Seahawks was no problem, defeating the Arizona Cardinals 22-16.
Losing to the Jaguars caused Seattle to move out of the Playoff picture. To make it back into the playoff picture, the Seahawks need to win the rest of their three games. In week 14, the Seahawks play against the 9-4 Los Angeles Rams, one of the toughest teams in the NFL. This game is going to be very difficult for the Hawks because of the major injuries the Seahawks have faced this season. Earlier in the season, the Seahawks lost future Hall of Famer Richard Sherman to a bad Achilles rupture, Kam Chancellor with a neck injury, and recently, Bobby Wagner and K.J Wright from the Jacksonville game.
I think that if Seattle can set their mind and hard work into these next three games, we can defiantly make the playoffs. Though we do have many key players off to the sidelines and not on the field playing, we still do have Russell Wilson on offense that can turn any play into something magical. Just a little glimpse of hope is all we need for this Seahawk team, and I think that with the right mentality and hard work, the Seahawks will be unstoppable coming into the last games of the season, and hopefully the playoffs.
