Gulliver's Travels
Today was a normal, quiet day in Lilliput. little boys and girls were playing in the street, and the farmers market was opened all day long. The town was pretty quiet except the market sellers yelling and trying to get peoples attention to try and buy their goods or clothing. Just as I went to buy some fruits and veggies, the King of Lilliput and all of his men stormed into town and gave an announcement about a giant mountain-man washing up on the beach shore. Everyone started to panic, the roads were suddenly chaotic and busy as people ran to see what the king had discovered. After about a 20 minute walk, sure enough, there was a giant mountain-man laying on the shore of the beach unconscious.
The giant mountain-man was nothing I had ever seen in all my years at Lilliput. The king and his troops had already tied and secured him to the beach floor, attempting to contain him before he wakes up. Sure enough, after about 10 minutes of marveling at the interesting beast, he finally woke up. After about 10-15 minutes of the beast trying to break loose, he gave up when orders were given to him. He was taken as a prisoner and carried up to the city. After this incident, the city couldn't stop talking about what happened at the beach that day.
A couple of hours later, word got around that the giant man-mountain was going to stay for a while and that he was going to be taught our language and how we live. this statement outraged a lot of people, but not me. I feel like this could be a good learning experience for Lilliput. I couldn't wait to see the giant out and about on a normal day. Hey you never know, he could help us win a battle or something.
